A Review of Eharmony online dating

Not long ago, I wrote a review of Match.com. Now, I'd like to take a few moments discussing a different kind of dating site, Eharmony. It's likely you've heard about this site quite a bit, but unless you've used the site before, you may be a bit unsure of how the site works.

Right from the outset, one thing you'll notice is that Eharmony requires a lot more work on the front end. A typically dating site only requires you to sign up and create a profile. This can take just a few minutes if you already have your profile description written. Eharmony, on the other hand, requires you to complete a personality test as the first step. The test is long, and it cannot be skipped. In fact, you can't even browse the site or do anything until you complete the test. This may seem a bit strict, but it makes sense when you think about it. The entire Eharmony system is based on the personality test, and your answers to the test questions are what's used to find your matches. Much has been said about the Eharmony matching algorithm. An algorithm, in its simplest form, is just a set of rules. So what are these rules based on? In the case of Eharmony, it is based on research that had been done by Dr. Neil Clark Warren, who spend years studying the science of compatibility.

One the test is completed, Eharmony will provide you with a personality profile, which is usually several paragraphs long. This is when you'll know how good Eharmony is at analyzing your personality. Most people are quite impressed at how well Eharmony describes your personality. At this point you are able to set up your profile. There are a series of questions you can answer for your profile, pictures you can upload, and a description field where you can talk about yourself.

As soon as you're done with the test, you'll most likely receive a few matches right away. Then, new matches will continue to trickle in each day. The rate at which you receive matches may seem a bit slow, but this can work to your advantage. Not only will you have more time to examine your matches, other people will have more time to look at your profile as well. You'll get a better idea of how this all works if you sign up and try things out yourself. Fortunately, there is an Eharmony free trial offer (with free communication) you can use to join the site.

As for how well Eharmony works, the evidence is quite compelling. Since its founding, Eharmony has been responsible for over one million marriages according to their commercials. For anyone who is marriage-minded, Eharmony therefore appears to be a great choice.
